Recently while pumping a septic tank in Ridge Top we learned a bit of history about this beautiful community in Robertson County from our customer.
The Louisville & Nashville Rail Road ran through this community and due to the steep elevation change many trains crashed so a tunnel was built. It took 3 years (1902-1905) and once completed it was one of the longest self-supporting tunnels in the world. The Railroad brought expansion, both in population and economy.

Now, back to septic tank services in Ridgetop. Allgood has been pumping septic tanks, performing inspections and field line repairs for homeowners in Robertson County for many years. Regular septic system maintenance is important to keep your system working properly for many years.
How often should I pump my septic?
Septic tanks should be pumped out every 3-5 years. This recommendation is based on the average daily flow of wastewater leaving your house. Some households use a lot more water than others, by simply doing more laundry, taking more showers or cooking more meals than others. If you are not sure when your tank was last pumped, now is a great time to schedule an appointment before you have any issues.
Call Allgood and we’ll answer your questions, and put you on a regular maintenance schedule.
